Beautiful Winter Wedding | The Grove Riverside Wedding Photographer

There’s something magical about a winter wedding in Southern California. The light is softer, the air feels crisp, and everything seems a little more intimate. Kyle and Macey’s wedding day was the perfect example of that magic — a heartfelt church ceremony followed by a stunning celebration at The Grove in Riverside.
As a Southern California wedding photographer, days like this remind me exactly why I love documenting love stories for couples across Riverside, Temecula, and beyond.
Kyle and Macey chose to begin their wedding day in the most meaningful way — surrounded by family, friends, and their faith at their church. The ceremony was emotional, personal, and full of those quiet moments that truly define a wedding day.
From the moment Macey walked down the aisle to the look on Kyle’s face as he saw her for the first time, every second felt genuine and full of love. Their ceremony perfectly reflected who they are as a couple — warm, joyful, and deeply connected.
These kinds of ceremonies are always a dream to photograph because the moments are so authentic and heartfelt.

After the ceremony, we stayed at The Grove in Riverside for portraits and the reception. Winter light in Southern California is one of my favorite things to work with as a Riverside CA wedding photographer. The sun sits lower in the sky, creating the most beautiful soft glow for romantic portraits.
Kyle and Macey absolutely trusted the process, which allowed us to create some truly stunning images together. The surrounding greenery and charm of the venue made the perfect backdrop for their winter wedding portraits.
The Grove is one of those venues that feels both elegant and relaxed — perfect for couples who want a romantic garden feel while still staying close to the heart of Riverside.
One of the most special parts of this wedding day was getting to work alongside my husband, Cody, who captured the wedding film.
We’ve photographed and filmed many weddings together over the years, and it’s something we genuinely love doing as a team. There’s a natural flow when we work together that allows us to capture both photo and video moments seamlessly throughout the day.
While I focused on documenting the candid moments and portraits, Cody was there capturing the movement, laughter, and emotions that make a wedding film so powerful.
It’s always such a gift to serve couples together and preserve their memories in both photographs and film.
As the sun set, The Grove transformed into the most beautiful reception space filled with glowing lights, heartfelt speeches, and so much celebration.
Kyle and Macey’s friends and family brought incredible energy to the evening. From emotional toasts to a packed dance floor, the entire night felt like one big celebration of their love story.
My favorite moment of the entire reception happened during their final song of the night. Instead of simply ending the evening on the dance floor, Kyle and Macey invited all of their friends and family to gather around them in a circle. Together they worshiped, singing and celebrating with the people who mean the most to them. It was such a powerful and meaningful moment — a perfect reflection of their faith and the community surrounding them. Being able to capture that moment was incredibly special and one I won’t forget anytime soon.

Kyle and Macey’s day was a beautiful reminder that winter weddings in Southern California are incredibly special. The softer light, cozy atmosphere, and relaxed pace of the season create the perfect environment for authentic, emotional wedding photos.
It was truly an honor to document their wedding day and work alongside my husband to capture their memories in both photo and film.
